Terms & Conditions
1. General Statement
By purchasing from Southwest Link Jewellers, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. It is the customer's responsibility to check their jewellery carefully before leaving the premises. Once an item has left our showroom, we accept no liability for any loss, damage, wear, or issues arising from use or handling, unless proven to be a clear manufacturing fault.
2. Faults & Liability
2.1 Customer Responsibility
- All items are sold in inspected condition. Customers must satisfy themselves with their purchase before leaving.
- Once the item leaves our control, Southwest Link Jewellers is not liable for accidental damage, wear and tear, misuse, or any third-party alterations.
2.2 Manufacturing Faults
- If a genuine manufacturing defect is identified, it must be reported immediately.
- Our jewellers will assess the item. If deemed faulty from manufacture, we may, at our discretion, offer:
- A repair, or
- An exchange of equal gram-value.
- Refunds are not guaranteed and will only be offered where legally required.
2.3 Exclusions
The following are not classed as faults:
- Tarnishing or discoloration caused by chemicals, perfumes, or improper care.
- Damage through impact, pulling, or incorrect handling.
- Stones becoming loose or lost due to wear and tear.
- Bending, denting, or scratching after purchase.
3. Returns & Exchanges
3.1 Strict 48-Hour Return Policy
- Returns are only accepted within 48 hours of purchase.
- Items must be unworn, in original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
- After 48 hours, no returns or refunds will be accepted under any circumstances.
3.2 Pierced Jewellery (Hygiene Policy)
- For hygiene reasons, all pierced jewellery is non-returnable.
- Exchanges are permitted only for equal gram-value, not refunds.
3.3 Exchanges by Gram-Value
- If you wish to exchange, it will be done strictly by gram-value.
- If the new item is higher in value, the difference must be paid.
- If lower in value, credit may be applied toward another purchase.
4. Care Guidance (Customer Responsibility)
To reduce the risk of issues, customers are expected to follow proper care practices:
- Remove before exposure to water, chemicals, cleaning agents, perfumes, and lotions.
- Do not wear while swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
- Store properly in a soft pouch or lined box to avoid scratches.
- Check clasps and settings regularly; if stones or fittings become loose through wear, this is the customer's responsibility.
- Routine maintenance: we recommend professional cleaning and inspection to prolong the life of your jewellery.
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in damage that is not covered under our returns or fault policy.
5. Final Conditions
- Liability: Once goods have left our premises, liability for care, wear, and damage lies entirely with the customer.
- Statutory Rights: These terms do not override your legal rights under UK consumer law, but they set the strict boundaries of what we will and will not cover.
- Policy Updates: Southwest Link Jewellers reserves the right to amend this policy at any time.
